Why Choose a Chiropodist?

Chiropodists (pronounced: ker-ro-po-dist) are primary health care providers educated exclusively in the assessment, treatment and prevention of foot disorders. They specialize in the treatment of skin conditions, nail conditions and biomechanical concerns. Chiropodists, along with Podiatrists, are the only regulated health professionals whose scope of practice includes the provision of orthotics.

Chiropody services in Ontario are not covered by OHIP, but are covered by most third-party insurance, extended health care plans and/or can be used for income tax health deduction purposes. A referral from a physician is not required to see a Chiropodist.
